Two new Teras for Salterns

Salterns Sailing Club is delighted to have secured a grant from the Eric Twiname Trust, enabling the purchase of two new RS Teras.

The Teras will be available for use by club members (with Red Pennant or RYA 2 or an existing competent sailor in a Tera) for club-organised Tera Training and club-organised Tera Racing.

They will also be available for members to use at external racing events, such as the forthcoming Junior Race Week at Royal Lymington Yacht Club. If you are interested in using one of the Teras for an external event, please contact our Head of Sailing, Nicola, on [email protected].

Being racing Teras, the rig is slightly different to the other club Teras. Find below instructions on how to rig the new Teras:

The Eric Twiname Trust was set up in 1980 by Eric’s father Alec, in order to perpetuate Eric’s memory and to enable his many and diverse sailing interests to continue. Since 1980 the Trust has provided over £1,500,000 for deserving causes, in particular youth sailing and racing.
