Informal Afternoon Sailing

Informal Afternoon Sailing sessions take place on most Saturday and Sunday afternoons until the start of the school summer holidays and on selected dates in the autumn, between 2pm and 4pm.

At each of these sessions there will be a Duty Team, consisting of Management Committee member, designated duty parents and representatives of the Junior Committee.

As the name suggests, these are informal sessions when club members can get to know other families as well as the MC and JC members on duty, use the boats (with some assistance from the JC as required), and enjoy the clubhouse in a more formal session. These are very social sessions and a fantastic time to meet new and existing friends. The Duty Team will man the kitchen, with drinks and cakes available.

Members are responsible for their own children both on and off the water, as well as getting out and cleaning and putting away boats after sailing. There is no formal training at these sessions.
