Commodore’s welcome
Hi everyone and welcome to Salterns Sailing Club!
My name is Marcus Edwards and I am the 2022 Commodore for this amazing club, in an amazing location. I would like to start by welcoming you all and introducing you to my team. We are going to be making this year the most action-packed year ever!
When you go to the club I want everyone to expect to be having plenty of fun with organized activities every weekend and in the weekday! Some of these examples is Salterns Saturday, Moth and Tera Racing and Salterns Youth Club. As well as this we are going to be bringing back many charity events to help raise money for a variety of charities. This is important because it shows how much as a club we care for our community.
I have plenty of sailing experience, including competing in world and national championships so believe with my variety of skill sets we can help a child learn how to sail and support them through their Salterns journey. Me and the JC are very approachable so don’t hesitate to ask us if you have any questions or you would like a helping hand with something. This year, we are going to ensure every weekend (and more often in the summer holidays), there will be a Rota of activities for you to take part in with the JC so you can have a fun time learning!
Make sure to be checking on the website and Salterns Sailing Club Facebook account for regular updates and new events!!
I am really looking forward to seeing all of you in the new season to give Salterns the ‘COVID wake-up it deserves!’
If you have any queries don’t hesitate to contact me –
See you all soon!
Marcus
