Salterns closed during the coronavirus lockdown

Taking into account all the latest guidelines from the government and RYA, it is with regret that there will be an impact on the activities at Salterns Sailing Club. As you’d expect, everyone’s health and safety is our main priority.

With a view to the social distancing and controlling hygiene, the club house will remain firmly closed until further notice and no sailing activities can take place.

All planned activities must be cancelled or postponed, these include:

AI Course – Postponed
OOD Training – Postponed
Clean up day – Cancelled
Easter Egg activities – Cancelled, the JC will email with home activities.
Tera Fleet / Bronze Fleet / Mini Courses – All on hold until we can open
Moppy Camp – May date will be rescheduled
All associate groups – Postponed start until further notice

To clarify, the Salterns Sailing Club will remain closed until further notice.

Whilst I appreciate this is incredibly disappointing, we will be reassessing the situation regularly. Options are being explored to offer alternative solutions, however until a safe plan is reached please respect the decision that the club is closed.

Stay safe and healthy.
