British Moth sailing at Salterns

The British Moth is an 11 foot dinghy with superb light wind performance. Originally designed in 1932 it is the first British designed and built single handed dinghy that has now celebrated over 85 years of putting smiles on its helms faces.

The modern British Moth can come in a number of guises including the self draining Cockpit options by John Claridge. The Salterns Sailing Club fleet includes 7 British Moths. Children have been sailing and racing in British Moths at Salterns Sailing Club since it was established in 1960.
