Informal Sailing

These sessions take place on most Saturday and Sunday afternoons  between 2 and 4 pm (except August).  As the name suggests, these are informal sessions when members can get to know other sailors, the committee members on duty, use the boats, and enjoy the clubhouse in a more formal session.   These are very social sessions and a fantastic time to meet new and existing friends.

Each of these sessions is managed by a duty committee member, designated duty parents (please see the rota), and a member of the junior committee. The duty parents are responsible for running the galley, ensuring that a supply of squash and cakes is available for the sailors. The duty parents are also responsible for support sailing on the water often in waders or rowing boats.
