The sailing season at Salterns runs from April to December, and includes a packed schedule of informal sailing, training activities and social events.
Sailing at Salterns is above all a social and enjoyable activity – and none more so than the Informal Sailing sessions that take place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
More experienced sailors can enjoy some of the informal racing we run every year. Children with Red Pennant or above can participate in the RS Tera Racing, whilst those with Blue Pennant can enjoy the Moth Racing.
Another annual event that builds confidence is the Over The Wall trip when a group of the more experienced sailors take boats into Oxey Lake and up the Lymington River and back.
On the social side, key events include Halloween with a Hog Roast, and the annual Children In Need 24 Hour sail fundraising event which is a truly amazing event which is in its 17th year and so far for 2015 has raised £8,500.
